Log: Ista Weyr Stables.
Weyr Stables
A nice series of stalls carved into the stone wall of the Weyr to protect the runners from weather and thread.
You see Dark Legacy, Smokey Butterfly, Arcane, Skippa, Rowen, Spirit, and Astallo here.
Obvious exits:
Bowl
Kirai trots in from the Southeastern Bowl.
The stables are a warm relief from the winter chill about the island; Nimooshin has pulled a stool into the stables, but at the moment is standing. He has a random runner tethered, and is at the moment brushing the gelding's coat.
Kirai merely wears one of her cloaks, being used to Keroon, the chill in the air is not much of a bother for her but it is always a relief to step into the warmth. Leading a giant Shire runner behind her, the Craftmaster seems pre-occupied for the moment to notice anyone else.
The clip-clop of such large hooves is a fair enough warning for Nimooshin, who peeks towards the entrance to the stables. He doesn't immediately recognise his Craftmaster, and continues brushing out the runner's coat. Eventually, he offers a friendly, "Hello, there."
Kirai flips back her hood and offers a grin to him "Hello" without much mention as to whether she knows him or not. She figures he'll figure it out soon enough, she'll have her fun in the meantime. Yes, mischievious Craftmaster. Instead she says "Any stalls available? I need to put this one up for awhile while I do some errands." She cranes her neck to see for herself if any are empty.
"Mmmm," Nimooshin considers, tilting his head sideways to brush the lower part of the gelding's belly lightly and carefully. "A few. I'd put him in that one right there," his hand swings out to point down the line, "it's a little bigger." After giving the rump a brisk run-over with the brush, he switches sides.
Kirai nods her head at the direction she's pointed in, taking an appraising look into the stall before opening the door and getting the shire settled in. He nickers at her and with one last pat, taking the lead rope with her the door is promptly shut behind her. Free of her large charge and eyes sparkling, she creeps close to Nimooshin, bends towards his ear and adds "Ought to pay more attention to who comes in here ya know, Apprentice."
"Um, what?" Nimooshin stops brushing, finally paying attention to the voice itself. He gives a light. nervous laugh, and twists around to face the Master. "Master Kirai! I'm so sorry, I didn't recognise you!" A pause. "Mostly because I wasn't expecting to see you here. What are you doing here, ma'am?"
Kirai laughs cheerily "It's all good. I expect I'm not terribly recognizable in this cloak.. but I was half expecting my runner to give me away." a grin continues across her face "Just hear to make a sale. You know the shires are pretty popular on the working end..." her sentence is cut short as a message drops to her from a firelizard "Oh I do apologize.. catch me later in the caverns if you can.. business calls." And with that she turns on her heel and is off swiftly.
